    Active Directory and Local Authentication

    Mike Partridge

We have a core-based licence for Tableau Server. We have hosted it in our DMZ and are using it to serve up workbooks to internal employees as well as workbooks to external clients.

Because of the external clients we have configured it to use local authentication instead of Active Directory. However senior management wants to be able to use their windows credentials to access it (AD).

Is it possible to allow internal staff members to connect via AD but clients to use a different authentication method? External clients cannot be added into the corporate AD.

      Thanks in advance.
