I am stuck trying to build a WDC to LiveRail's API. Looking forward to #DATA15 to fill in the knowledge gap.
This is fantastic! I'm going to be using the ParseHub connector in a demo next week. (I do have the data downloaded already as a backup) for creating a data blend.
I think the website could add a page on FAQ reliability & privacy & security, i.e. what does The Information Lab store about each connection, how secure is it, what kind of reliability/availability is The Information Lab committing to, is there anyone to contact if the connector breaks, can people see the source code, etc.
Yes this is something I've got on my list. Currently and I think always the connectors will not come with any guarantee of uptime, if you want to do this you should download the code and configure the connection on your own Tableau Server.
I'm currently trying to make sure all code is made available on Github https://github.com/TheInformationLab/ including any server-side php code.
Would love to know how you get on with Parsehub. I've been very impressed with it.
Jonathan Drummey, Craig Bloodworth helped me get the Parsehub WDC working last week. For anybody else testing ParseHub, it is important to run the ParseHub project on their server (not just in the design page) for the project to show up in the WDC. I would be very interested to hear more about use cases for WDC using tools like Parsehub, Import.io and Kimono.
