    Date Calculated filed  - to create a "Holiday" filter

      Hi all,


      I am trying to write a date calculated field of date,  and expect to have a holiday filter.     Not very familiar with how to write the calculate field. Should I use "case when" or " If" in this case? 


      To be specific,I need all " 1/1/20xx" to  show as " New year's day",  " 12/25/20xx" as " Christmas day ", and then I can use this new calculated field as a filter so that user can select a specific date. 


      Any help is very much appreciated! thank you !!
