Hi, are you seeing an error? which version of Couchbase Server are you trying to connect to?
thank you for your reply. I use Couchbase Server 4.0. I tried it with port 8092 but I always got a JSON parsing error. When I try it with port 8093 (Simba ODBC driver uses this port) the connection is working fine but the access to the buckets returns the following error message:
[Simba][SQLEngine] (31740) Table or view not found: Couchbase.default.beer-sample
The table "[default].[beer-sample]" does not exist.
Thank you in advance.
Can you tell me which version of the ODBC driver you are trying to use? This looks to me like it might be the Beta from May. If so, can you try running the a N1QL query on the server and send me the result? When trying to determine if a table exists, the Beta would issue this query:
SELECT META(`beer-sample`).id AS `PK`,* from default:`beer-sample` ORDER BY PK LIMIT 1
thank you for your reply. I use version v1.0.0.0004 (64 bit). Unfortunately the query does not return any result.
Please use the GA version of the SIMBA driver. Part of the set up is to generate a Schema definition file from within the ODBC driver set up. The driver will create a schema on only documents that you have defined a secondary index on. For development purposes you can do something like this from the CBQ utility:
create primary index on `bucket` using GSI;
Then have the ODBC set up scan the bucket and create a Schema definition and then export that to the database in the same utility. You should then be able to query the bucket as you would any SQL table.
