    Tableau Extract Refresh Creates New Files Upon Running Refresh

      Hello Everyone,


      I have noticed that for published extracts, Tableau creates a new folder and file for TDEs for each refresh.

      Here's the location - C:\ProgramData\Tableau\Tableau Server\data\tabsvc\dataengine\extract\


      Does tableau archive the old .tde files or do some kind of cleanup to remove the older files? Because in cases where the .tde's are of huge sizes (in GB), creating new file for each refresh will be eating the memory from system drive i.e. C:\
