create one dim parameter first and create calc and add this calc into row or column and add count(id) too.
show parameter control and select each dim and get count.

I did try that as an option, but here the requirement is to compare the charts side by side, that would not be possible by selecting dimensions one at a time. The customer wants to see that measure against different dimensions side by side to be able to compare the behavior.
create 8 sheets then create
go with combine fields option and create sheets.
create cross tab report and add two dim at a time.
you want to show top n fields then create top N filter/parameter.
create hierarchy and go.
