    CTUG Meetings Re-Start

    William Aubrey

We're in the process of re-starting the Charlotte TUG Meetings.  Finding a central location has been an early challenge.  Initially, our thoughts had been on working with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.  From the viz below, we can see that these facilities would be ideally suited to periodic meetings not only in uptown, but throughout the CharMeck area.  We currently have a request for co-sponsorship out with CM Library.  A few articles on newspapers and libraries got us thinking about how an emphasis on data visualization (as learning opportunities in libraries and as large print format for newspapers) could be a great feature for both: http://boulderinsight.com/index.php/a-visualization-to-the-editor/.

In the interim, if you have a location where you could sponsor a Charlotte TUG meeting in early July or September, please drop me a message.

Also, much thanks to Adam Gardner, Manjesh Gorajala and Brian Mooneyham for volunteering their efforts in this re-start!

      Thank you,

      William Aubrey
