You can use dual axis to show the total number of records on one axis and something on the other axis.
Do this by a calculated field.

Yes, we can access start date and end date with parameter.
if you want to apply then apply parameter too. When we select date between then report must display date between records only.
if you want to apply last week records also then use the calc and then apply this into dual axis and label.
Can you post a sample workbook , so that we can work on it and find the nearest possible solution for this.
Thanks for your responses. As you suggested I've posted a dummy workbook.
What I would like is a total of all groups based on the current Week End Date selected. So in this case it would be 55. However, if the user changes to another week end date, this total would change.
