    Tableau Server behind HTTP-proxy

    Erkki Piipponen

I would like to know if it is possible to run Tableau Server (9.0) in following proxy configuration:

Tableau Server running at: http://tableau.local and

I followed the documentation for proxy configuration (here: http://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/proxy_config.htm) but it does not work as expected. When I type the proxy url to browser the Tableau Server login form opens and I can log in but published workbooks do not open. HTTP logs show that browser tries to load javascript from address:

I could try to add url rewrite rules to proxy (similar to here: https://gist.github.com/abdulhadad/0c4dcc7d70237a6a1912 and here: http://forums.iis.net/p/1224959/2101090.aspx?Re+Reverse+Proxy+for+Tableau+Server) but I would like to avoid that if possible.

Is it possible to configure context path in Tableau gateway proxy settings or make the server accessible (to proxy) from address http://tableau.local/tableau (which should also fix this issue)?

      Thanks in advance
