It doesn't explicitly state Tableau Reader but try the same commands and syntax as Desktop. Let us know if it works or not. You may want to contact Tableau Support if it doesn't work. Please remember to post your answer here so others can learn from it.
Tableau reader is freeware and doesn't require any activation. All I need is to suppress that registration windows after installation.
Thanks for your link. I already followed that link to package the application. But that link didn't give any suppress the registration window.
Thanks for your time to find out the link for me .I couldn't able find out the solution for my issue. :-(
I just did it and it worked. You have to play/experiment with the documentation that Tableau provides. I know the content is not deep enough and poorly explained so you have to almost always do more work than the extremely simple samples they provide.
I downloaded Tableau Reader and saved the file "TableauReader-64bit.exe" to my C:\temp directory.
Open a cmd window and entered these commands:
cd c:\temp TableauReader-64bit.exe /Q:A /T:"C:\temp" /C msiexe /i tableau-setup-rdr-tableau-9-0.15.0318.1720-x64.msi /q
That silently installed Tableau Reader on my laptop (and VERY quickly, too!). I verified by checking Programs and Features in my Control Panel:
I received NO registration/licensing prompts!
This is the basics based upon experimenting with what was given by http://kb.tableau.com/articles/knowledgebase/performing-quiet-installation?lang=en-us (though the instructions are very meager).
Two things that sorta-kinda help:
These will give you a similar, but longer, help box from Windows itself.
