# Can I divide values across multiple rows by a single value referenced else on the table?

Hi,

Hopefully the question makes some sort of sense. It's best if I explain with the below table:

ReasonAttendedCompletedNot Completed% Not Completed

N/A

1008000%
Not Home10555%
Cancelled2051515%

How do I create a calculated field so that the under the header "% Not Completed" I get the values I've put in the table?

Essentially, the maths is simple, I'm just dividing the Not Completed value for each row by the Attended value next to reason "N/A" (100)

I can't seem to work it out. Is it even possible?

Hi Christian - Am not sure if I understood you properly. Because, if you need divide Not Completed by Attended, how can you get 0%, 15% and 15% respectively for % Not Completed. You should be getting 0% , 50% and 75%. Am i missing something here.

Hi Manoj,

In the example given, I only want to divide by 100 (which is the first value under Attended). The other "attended" values (10 and 20) are not relevant for the purpose of the calculation.

So when you divide the Not Completed values by 100 you get 0%, 5% and 15%.

The trick here is that the value '100' needs to be dynamic I.e if I change the date filter this number will change as will the Not Completed values.

Hope that makes more sense, if not let me know.

Cheers
