As far as I know, we are using the IBM DB2 connector, but then I didn't set it up (I'm the consultant, not the IT guy). We have been using 8.2.0, and have had flaky behavior with this database, but that could be for any number of reasons (it's third-party, it's a call center database that is constantly being hit, the latest connector hasn't been installed, etc.)
This morning I loaded a workbook into 9.0 and it loaded almost instantly and didn't crash or misbehave at all. Of course this might just be that the call center is closed on the weekend (mostly), so I'll have to wait until Monday to draw any real conclusions.
