If you don't want to use filters, then I think you will have to use parameters.
Mark - Ruma is looking to make multiple selections, while parameters only allow for single select at a time.
Ruma - Have you tried using dashboard action filters? They allow for excellent navigation from one dashboard to the other and accommodate for multi-select. Set "Run action on:" to "Select" and uncheck the "Run on single select only" option.

you can use your map as filter to show any information of one or more parts of the map in the same dashboard.

If you want to switch the dashboards instead of just filtering in one dashboard, you could set a navigation button linking you to this secound dashboard and if your choise (the part(s) of the map you marked) is set as the filter, you should just see the information regarding to this choise on the second dashboard.
