As it is a Dashboard (I am not too sure of the complexity) the simplest way I could think of doing this is to create a story and have one of the labels as number and one as percentage. With the Story you can put the entire Dashboard in it.

            Hi Bhuwan,

            Here are the steps: -

            1) Create a parameter for selection of format.

            Capture.JPG

            2) Create a calculated field in which use following calculation -

If [Format Selector]==1 then sum([Sales]) else avg([Discount]) end

(*Here I have used Discount as I am using sample datasource). You have to use your two fields, one is with number format & another one is %.

            3) Now create two calculated field -

            iif([Format Selector]==1,sum([Sales]),null)

            iif([Format Selector]==2,avg([Discount]),null)

One field is of number format & another one is in % format.

            4) Now change the format of these two fields before using it in report. Choose one as Number format & one is as % format as default format.

            5) Now put your fields like below -

            Capture.JPG

            6) Now edit label section

Put fields in a single row.

There are some limitations of this approach.

Hope this may help you! If not then attach your sample workbook & let me know the chart type that you want in your sheet. Check the attached file.

            Warm Regards,

              Hi,

In this case i think you should use a concept of action filters or (Buttons).

              1) Create a new worksheet and  then new calculated filed name as (number format) and write "click for number format" into calculated filed and drag it on column shelf accordingly .

2)Similarly repeat the above step for percentage format.

              3) Now create a new dashboard. Drag both sheets into dashboard.

4)Now add action filter to both sheets. Go to Dashboard in toolbar ,click on Action, then add filter.

              5) Choose worksheet (number format) as a source and target a number format dashboard. similarly for percentage worksheet..

              Hope this will help.

              Thanks.

                Bhuwan,

how about applying the approach outlined in the KB article you mention to each of the elements (vizzes) in your dashboard? Thus when the parameter value changes several vizzes will be effectively changed, thus resulting in an entirely different dashboard. So to speak, change not the dashboard at once, but all its elements at once...

                Hope this helps,

Thank You for your valuable response

                    Hey Prashant ,

Thank you for response but my requirement is little different .

                    • I have one dashboard that is having three different sheets .(1)  shows 10 KPIs for current month (2) same 10 KPIs for current month total (3) same 10 KPIs for six month average all sheets's data is in number format
                    • Second dashboard is having all sheets that i have mentioned in above  point  difference is all sheet's data is in percentage format

Requirement & challenge  : Dashboard should have filter ( Number & Percentage ) if we select number then number dashboard should come  if we select percentage then percentage dashboard should  come .Both dashboards should not be on same place .

                    Regards ,

                    Bhuwan

                        Hi Vlad,

I did not understand can you elaborate please .

                        Regards,

My solution provides you the same thing. In my solution you do not need to create 6 sheets. In this you have to create only 3 sheets & one parameter.

But I think this is little complex for your requirement.

In your requirement story telling feature will work or if you do not want to use story telling feature then create two sheet, put those sheet in two dashboards & use action filter. (like Rohan Suggested)

                          Warm Regards,

Okay I had implemented this action filter .

                            Thank You
