Hello Fabio,

This won't work probably due to the densification which will multiply the data rows by 100. This technic is used in order to generate the sufficient data to draw the curves and polygones. Then, if you simply try to sum your measures, you should get very huge errors. That is why using %ages is more convenient than simple sums.

Fabio, If you use the proper LOD expression you should be able to control for the data replication and fet your proper aggregates.

Olivier,

Our office has successfully recreated a Sankey using your guidelines but have run into a problem. Ideally, we would like the user to be able to look at one "Start Major" and see the path. What happens is the viz is lost because the curve is lost. Any pointers or work-arounds?

I've attempted to set up a parameter to color the lines, but I can't get that to work either.

Hi Nicole,

I just had a look at your work and I think I got the point. Here are few ideas :

- First one : add a grey border to the curves. This will help visualize the flows even if only 1 color

- Second : use the other Sankey Method I developed in order to spread the flows. I would then probably force the user to select only one Start Major

- Third : create a parameter to choose which way to color that would be placed on colors and would be written this way :

Parameter with 2 chain values : "Back" and "Forth"

Calculated field : CASE Parameter WHEN "Back" THEN Changed Major (dimension) WHEN "Forth" THEN Start Major (Dimension) END

This should solve your problem

Hi,

You can do it using "Measure Names" & "Measure Values" pills. Don't forget to filter measures to keep only Polygonic Curves measures.

Hi Jason,

You are on the Jedi Path. The filter is already applied (see the filter Card)

You just have to

1. Turn your graph into polygons

2. Add the "Path" pill on the path mark

3. Add the way of the walk in the detail card

4 configure your table Calculation

And that's it.
