You mean something like this:
Incredibly this was built in Tableau. Here's the blog: Actinvision - Business Intelligence Experts / Data Visualization
And there's a link to the Tableau Public workbook there.
Thanks a lot for getting back on this. This is an amazing workaround that you have come up with. I want to understand how would it work in my scenario. So basically we have a report in Adobe insight which analyzes the flow of traffic between web pages on thehartford.com website. If you look at the path component below you would get a better idea.
We want to build a similar visualization in Tableau. So what the above componet shows is that we have a hub page called thehartford.com/candidates and it shows the entry pages and exit pages and the thickness of lines shows the number of interactions. So basically we have the fields, Page title, entry page, exit page, interactions in the data source. How can i achieve such a scenario within Tableau.
Irfan, I think you are misunderstanding. That link is NOT my work, it's Olivier CATHERIN It looks like quite a bit of work. Maybe you can hire him to work it out for you. Or just read through his step-by-step instructions, and modify them as necessary.
Thanks Shawn. I will see what i can do to achieve this.
Using the methodology I describe in theses posts, you should be able to draw the required viz easily !
Please find here the post describing the method I used to build this decision tree with almost no data preparation :
Have fun !
