Dear Olivier,

I have the same problem  as shown below;

I have followed every step correctly.

Your help on this would be greatly appreciated.
I have also attached the workbook too.

Regards,

Aung Myat

Great step by step process and love the outcome too!

One question - can this be modified to get the data from an Access database that holds my data by week, month. year etc rather than from an static excel file? This would then allow my resulting Sankey to change by week once refreshed.

You should be able to as long as the data (query I presume) are in the same format as the table.  This tells you how to connect to access https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/examples_access.html

Hi Olivier,

Great inspiration, many thanks. I am able to replicate successfully with measures such as sales, profit but not with CountD(Customer_ID). The curve’s max and min cannot aligning with the level. It seems due to table calculation subtotal is not calculated correctly of the current level. Any suggestion? Appreciated.

Best regards

I followed all the instruction and checked it twice, but my VIS is parallel bands. I need to some the right side of the Sankey but I dont know how.

It will be appreciated it someone can help.

Hi Olivier

Thanks for your post and its so great to have these resources online. I'm working through your example but am struggling to reproduce a two-level Sankey. The second level is quite funky to say the least. I am also not getting alignment of the flows with the gantt charts either. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong would be most appreciated!

Thanks, Olivier for this beautiful viz!

My query is regarding the set you created for the viz. Can you tell me a way for displaying at least 10 blocks in Step 2 for each block in Step 1?

Suppose I have two blocks in Step 1, say, Block 1 and Block 2. Both of them have nearly 50 links to the Step 2. I want to restrict 50 links to top 10 for each block. ie, Top 10 links for block 1 and top 10 links for block 2. How to make changes in the set created [Top Step 1] and [Top Step 2] accordingly.

I have tried creating a calculated field - rank(sum([size])) - and changing the default table calculation to compute using Advanced ->  Addressing [Step 1], [Step 2] and restart at every [Step 1]. But this field does not appear while creating the [Top Step 1].

Did any one tried with Countd - No of customers over time series in sankey ?
