I think being a visual BI developer means having some creative, "visual arts" / "graphic designer" type of mentality and that's something you can't learn easily; some people won't be able to "get it" or will really struggle and it'll show in their results.
For starters, Tableau already displays the visual best suited for the items dropped on the canvas or lends some assistance with its Show Me charting option.
Hi Toby, Thanks for your reply.
However, i really dont agree with your reply and i am not new to Tableau either.
Unfortunately my organization does not ask for much visual aspects, they look forward for tablular stuff...
So, I want to pickup some good visual stuff, so that they feel more excited towards tableau.
Looking forward toward for some right guidance and instructions.
So as per your suggestion visitng tableau public and looking at different visuals you get ideas to be more creative.
I agree that can be one approach.
What else? any other suggestions pls.
