Use of IP Address vs Host Name in Publishing Workbook to Server

      Hi all,

I'm using Tableau Desktop 8.2 and Tableau Server 8.2. I'm having problems publishing workbooks to Tableau Server from Tableau Desktop. We've setup the Server and made a few user accounts. I completed all the steps for publishing, including account permissions. After pressing Publish:

It gets stuck just as the process is about to end. After a long time, the Publishing Views window closes and gives me an error: "HTTP bad request"

We were able to successfully publish reports by specifying the host name instead of the IP address (e.g. http://IPaddress:port does not work, but http://hostname:port does). Has anyone encountered this before? I would think that we should be able to use either the IP address or the host name since they point to the same server.
