I sure can. I believe (if I did them correctly) that the scrapers from import.io will update the data I collected. If you however have a cleaner method of getting the data it would be appreciated. As it stands, since the data for the conference is on different "Day" pages, I have to re-scrape five times and then merge the data.
Do you maybe have a contact at Tableau that might share the data with me directly? I'd hate to have someone use the tool to create a schedule only to find out that rooms/schedules have changed.
I've asked, I'll let you know if/when I find anything out!
I did receive an email saying that the data would be on its way, but it never came... so I re-imported using import.io, learned some tricks on the way, and re-published with most up to date info.....
Instead of attaching the workbook here I just republished to Tableau Public so that I can update again if needed and people will always be sent to the most recent version.
Thanks for your help and feedback. See you at the conference.
I never got one either…thanks for republishing, and see you in Seattle!
Hi Dan (and Jonathan),
Sorry for the delay. We're pretty busy getting ready for conference and had to round up a few folks to discuss this. You'll be happy to know that early next week we'll be placing a button on the conference website that will let you download the schedule in CSV so you guys can have it. We'll be sure to announce this on our social networks when it's ready to go.
