    Pass Parameters to Stored Procedure

    Michael Boldin

      This example

      Flux Analysis // Dynamic User-Defined Self-Join

shows how to pass parameters to SQL that define the begin and end date for a query and then refresh the data.

Very interesting stuff and could prove very powerful in various applications using time series data.

Are there any examples or write-ups for passing parameters to a stored procedure?

Am I right to assume a stored procedure of equivalent custom SQL in Tableau would almost always be more efficient (i..e, faster) because it runs natively in the source DB system?
