Figured out one solution using a self join to the original table.
The idea is to do a self join so you can compare the number of records being returned. If the number of records returned is equal, then show the results. If not, that means that you are viewing only a subset of the data which implies that you are viewing an underling, so don't show the data.
See attached workbook for an example. Adding floating overlapping windows will hide lower level matches.
