I'm not sure this gets to what you're getting at, but what I'm doing is creating Calculated Members in Tableau for custom things like this. Then you can place them on any dimension.

Now that I reread your original post, I realize that we can't do this when connecting to a cube unfortunately.
What I have been trying to do is attempt to modify the measure MDX to see if that can help get what I need.
My ideal need for this though would be a calculated field based on the user whom is logged and their group membership, display a specific dimension on the columns or rows. For instance an anonymous dimension with no names of the members, just anonymous ids if one didn't have permission.

I imagine you've found a solution to your problem, but I had the same issue. My long-term solution was to get rid of the cube, but in the interim we created views on top of the cube (openquery) that functioned as a relational db.
