Prashant Sharma Jan 6, 2014 3:06 AM (in response to Rohit Kumar)Hi Rohit,
First I want to clear myself that you have one column which is having Yes & No which comes with the above formula. Am I right? If Yes, then you can directly take this column in Tableau but not the above formula. When Tableau connected through your database why you need the above formula in Tableau? If you do not want to use the column used in excel then you can create a calculated field with the above formula & use it according to your requirement. Both the ways are simple to implement. Hope this may help!

Rohit Kumar Jan 6, 2014 4:33 AM (in response to Prashant Sharma)Hi Prashant,
My excel column has complete below condition as a value.
IF (Column1== 1 AND Column2 == "NULL") THEN "Yes" ELSE "No" END
I want to use this value as a formula in tableau but i will not prefer to create a calculated field for this. Because my new rule will add dynamically in excel file on daily basic. By using calculated field, every time i have to create new rule manual according to excel column . So i want to automate this process directly from excel.

Prashant Sharma Jan 6, 2014 6:11 AM (in response to Rohit Kumar)Hey Rohit,
Without editing or without calculation field I do not think that this is possible. Tableau or any database is taking this as a text. You have to create a calculated field.
