What are the criteria for most popular post? Highest # of page views, most likes?? Or is the criteria based on something like utility/usefulness?
Any/all of these have issues:
- Page views have only been tracked since Jive was introduced in early 2012, there are a few years of earlier forum posts still available here. The internal search engine in Jive has been horrible, it's been slowly improving over time, so the page views are biased by what was showing up in the search results at the time.
- Likes only began in the last few months, and the number of Liked posts is vanishingly small compared to the number of posts on the forums.
- There is no metric for utility/usefulness that I know of. Sites like Stack Overflow have a much better way of identifying this.

Great question! This is something Tracy and I track on several different fronts and given the success of putting Tableau vizzes about the Community into the Community (Ideas, Crow's Nest) we're been thinking about prototyping something into Crow's Nest. This would initially be in support of helpers (Help Helpers Help Helpers), but I have a vision of one day people being able to parse through Tableau Community content like you would on Reddit or Stack Overflow (show top/hot/rising/ etc.).
