Please help me understand the question better -
Does one chart mean a workbook (may have views and dashboards)?
Does every text file constitute a different datasource?
When you say export in one shot are you trying to export the workbooks in form of PDF ? Would you want to do that through command prompt?
When I say one chart - I mean one worksheet in Tableau (worksheet or dashboard)
Each Text file is indeed a different data source - they are the inputs for each of the worksheets(charts) in Tableau.
Export in the form of a image (JPEG) is good for now - if we have something better such as export to a PPT or PDF , I could learn that as well.
Hope this explains the Q's.
Whoa! this is beyond me . Don't we have a more straightforward solution that doesn't involve Cmd and stuff?
Tabcmd export is simple way to export the views in the workbook as pdf or image.
Are you on Tableau Server?
Yes I have it installed but never used it..
May be I should I have mentioned I am quite new to Tableau..
great - this answers one question.
But the greater problem still remains - I need to have all the 12 data sources (i.e text files) actively open at a time, so that all the charts are also active - which will help me export in One shot..

If you have 12 data sources in a single workbook then all of them will be loaded when you open the workbook.
When you do the pdf export, each sheet output will be in separate pdf pages. you don't need to go to each sheet and refresh it.
If not working like that, please load a sample workbook
