Our final meeting of 2013 will be a great one. Angela Gaddy returns from a stint in Washington DC to rejoin ATUG (we know that's the real reason why she came back to Atlanta) and present on how you can use parameters to begin the visualization building process. We also have two Tableau Jedis and superstars from the 2013 Tableau Customer Conference, Nelson Davis and Zen Master Mark Jackson, join forces to give a presentation on making dashboards for the Galactic Senate and Emperor Palpatine - no wait, I mean the C-Suite crowd.
Please join us for the Atlanta Tableau User Group meeting on December 5th from 1-4PM at the Norfolk Southern office in Midtown Atlanta (1200 Peachtree St., N.E.). This is an opportunity for you to connect with others in the Atlanta Tableau community; and together share best practices and learn new approaches to Tableau with other users in the area.
We encourage our presenters to have interactive content so you can use Tableau during the meetings; so bring your laptops as there will be such opportunities again this meeting.
• "Using Parameters to come up with your Visuals"
Presentation by Angela Gaddy - Tableau Trainer at GE
• "Designing your Dashboards for the C-Level"
Presentation by Nelson Davis - Tableau Consultant at Slalom Atlanta
and Mark Jackson - Manager of Business Intelligence at Piedmont Healthcare
If possible, please register ahead of time (http://www.tableausoftware.com/learn/usergroups/Atlanta-Dec05-13?signin=0d1a4f0eb0527af7feb710d65670da55) so that an attendee list can be passed to building security which makes getting through security a bit quicker. As an FYI, in order to enter the NS building a govt. issued photo ID will be requested. We will have folks escorting you to our meeting location from 12:45 - 1:15. If you will be arriving 15+ minutes after the start of the meeting, please notify me (at least a day in advance if possible) with your planned arrival time so I can have someone meet you in the lobby.
In January we will get back to our normal meeting routine of the third Thursday of each month.
Hope to see you at one of our upcoming meetings.
