I believe you'll be able to get this to work by using a formula within the Condition tab of the filter. Move the "fund" dimension from the second data source to your Filters shelf. Click the Condition tab and select By Formula and type [fund]=[Fund Parameter].
While I don't have your workbook, this approach worked for me when using multiple Superstore data sets.

Do you know how to do the same filter but using a value from a secondary data source? The relation is one to one and I don't really want to create a parameter. Is this possible?
When you go to the filter option , the fields available are only the ones from the same source.
