Hey James -
You can ask your extracts to refresh at any given time using the tabcmd tool and telling it to refreshextracts <workbook name>. You an also run a schedule any time you want by using tabcmd runschedule <schedule name>.
So, if your ETL tool gives you a "task type" which allows you to drop DOS and/or execute an arbitrary .exe, you're golden. Just add that task (which will fire refreshextracts or runschedule) as the last step in your ETL flow.
