Is this what you want to do?
Create a new Calculated Measure
Name it "Number Of Quarters" and the Formula is Last()+1
Drag the new Column to Filters
Select At Most -> OK
Right Click on Number Of Quarters under Filters and select "Show Quick Filter"
Thanks a lot Adam..
Only difference is that I was expecting a text box for the user to input value.But your solution works better than that.
I have one more query on this.
Currently the calclation last()+1 is working perfectly if I have one chart.I have created one dashboard where I am using more than two charts.Can I filter all the charts in the dashboard using a single slider.The challenge here is that I am not able to make the number of quarters filter global to all the sheets in the dashboard.Is there any workaround for this?
many thanks in advance.
Are all the charts coming from the same data source? If not, that's the problem. Otherwise, a quick filter can be applied to as many sheets as you like, as long as they're from the same data source.
If this doesn't help, please post a packaged workbook or screenshots.
