I just tested this and while I do lose the "Keep Only" and "Exclude" options, I still see the View Data and Group options. Make sure under "tooltip", you have the box for "Include Commands" checked. See below.
This question was not posted in the main "Forums" section of the site, but in the future, this should be the default behavior for forum threads, I believe (they've been doing upgrades on the site)
Thanks for looking into this. "Include command buttons" is checked
I see underlying data icon only if I use non date dimension (like my market or region) on my rows shelf.
If I use a date dimension (order date in my case) underlying data icon disaapears!!
Could you also test with some date field on your rows pls?
Any ideas how I can move this question to the main forum?
I did test, and when I uncheck the "Aggregate Measures" option, with Year(Date) (or other truncated dates) on the rows/column shelf, the "View Data" option does disappear. It does reappear with the "Exact Date" option as a discrete dimension on rows. I assume there is a good reason for this, but you can still right click on each mark drawn and you should see the "View Data" option there in Desktop.
Not sure if this helps; someone else may know the specific reason for this behavior.
Client is looking at a report hosted on server and right click doesnt seem to be working there
another option on server is to click on a / select multiple data point and use export data arrow (but client is not ok with this approach )
Thanks for taking a stab.
I'm having the same issue - any update to this?
Just throwing this out there to see if it works, but I have found that if instead of unchecking "Aggregate Measures", you instead convert the measures on your rows & columns shelf to "Dimensions" individually, then the Keep Only/Exclude options reappear in the Tooltip and upon right-click. Anyway, this method worked for me.
