I've not ever hit this specific error. It sounds like a good candidate for opening a support ticket with Tableau. Before you do, though, make sure you are running the latest build (as of now, should be 8.0.4) and see if you are still getting the error.

I was wondering if anyone ever got to the bottom of this error. I've started having problems editing objects - the drop down list in the top right of a dashboard element doesn't work (everything else does) and when I save and close Tableau I get the following error, similar to Evan:
I've started noticing it when we moved up to 8.2. We're still using Windows XP (shameful, I know - we're working on it) and was wondering if it was connected to that.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have been experiencing the same issue when I try to edit some calculated fields. I am not sure what the cause is.
It happens for both 8.2 and 8.3 desktop versions (Win7, 64bit).
I will appreciate it if anyone can help!
Just an update on where I am:
I've recently updated to Windows 7 (64-bit) and running Tableau 8.3. I'm still having occasional problems with drop-down menus in Tableau (quick filter options etc), but I'm not getting an error message when I close.
Hi ! I am having the same error , is there a solution on this? any tips?
