# simulating an excel countif function

Working with a list of trades, each linked to a sales person and customer. I am currently counting how many individual account names are assigned to each sales person. How could I also calculate how many of those accounts we have done business with over the last 12 months? The fields I am using are "employee," "Account Name" and "Commission." I am using the countd function to find the number of customers and am guessing I could combine this function with some sort of "IF" statement to only count those customers that have generated commissions?

Thanks, I will give it a shot

You can try something like

COUNTD(IF ([Commission])>0 then [Account Name] else '' end)

If it doesn't work, please post a sample workbook.

This example has 3 sample customers, but only two have amounts in the "commission" field. I am trying to calculate the number of customers that have not made a purchase
