We're sort of going to need a bit more to go on. But is there any chance that there is an extra space after some of those Courtesy Types so one of them is "Verified Courtesy" and the other is "Verified Courtesy " (note the extra space). If the strings are not exactly the same then T reads them an different values and lists them accordingly. Check your underlying data.
Thank you for responding.
The values are created by the following code:
CASE DISS_CD WHEN "CRPX" THEN "PreClose Courtesy" WHEN "CRPV" THEN "Verified Courtesy" WHEN "CRPZ" THEN "Verified Courtesy" WHEN "CRTY" THEN "Requested Courtesy" END
Please note that only the “PreClose Courtesy” and “Verified Courtesy” were duplicated but not the “Requested Courtesy” element.
I have closed the workbook and reopened it several times today with no additional replication incidents.
Removing then adding the filters back in elimintated the reduncent copies of the affected values.
I will monitor for any recurance.
Good to hear. John, just so you know, I've been getting some flaky behavior like that too.
The issue is back today and this time it is affecting three filters all of which are based on calculated fields.
None of the filters based on raw imported data fields have this issue.
There must be something in the Tableau code that identifies the available values for a filter list that is sensitive to calculated fields.
How do we identify the issue and find a resolution?
