It does not. Tableau Server has no ETL-like ability to poll a data source looking for a "signal" that a refresh should occur. Sorry.
You can write this yourself pretty easily though, and then kick off the refresh process with tabcmd.

tabcmd is a good option but we have some client restrictions in running these on server do to policies.
Is there any way to update the scheduled defined in the tableau POSTGRESQL database.
I’m fairly sure that it would be possible to modify values in the system tables of PostgreSQL to make this happen – but doing so is unsupported, so it’s not something any employee of Tableau could help you with. You would need to:
· Find a username / password that gives you a higher level of access to the database
· Determine which tables contain scheduling information
· Observe the changes to the rows in these tables as schedules execute
· Make remote changes to the rows in the table(s) on an as-needed basis.
