You'll want to create an extract before uploading--otherwise, it asks for the credentials to log into your SQL server.
Also, I'd move this thread into the "Forum" area of the community so other users will see it.
An extract of the extract? Hmmm. Not sure what that means. Just limit the data?

I assumed it was a live connection because it is asking for your SQL Server credentials. I'm fairly new to Tableau and should know why it is asking for your credentials, but I'm really not sure. If I am working with an extract, and I save a packaged workbook and post it here on the forum, it does not ask for credentials so I'm not sure exactly why this is happening with your workbook.
Do you have any User Filters applied to the workbook?
Bonny: In order to look at this, I need a packaged workbook file with the proper local extract embedded. I cannot open the packaged workbook above at all to connect to the new extract you posted separately.
