I'm trying to recreate it.. but can't quite seem to get it. Could you outline a few of the steps?

lol It's actually a ton of steps.
I'll outline the gist.
You need a continuous "placeholder" for the "Orientation text to go so I dragged min number of records to the the column shelf. This will give you two available mark types on the marks shelf. Select min number of records from the marks shelf, change mark type to "Text"....drag Orientation onto the Text button.....create a calc:
if attr([orientation]) < -.1 then 'red'
elseif attr([orientation]) >.1 then 'green' end
Place that calc on the Color button.
To get the orientation header to show you need to dual axis it with another min # of records and change the axis detail to show "Orientation instead of "Min.Number of Records".
You also need to turn off zero lines and axis tick marks.
I apologize that I can't be more thorough due to time constraint. If you spend enough time breaking apart the workbook I attached you can probably find a few tricks that will help you with the formatting.
I was able to get copy what you did with your explanation and example.
It's a neat trick, but It does seem like this should be a lot easier!
Thanks again for your time.
