Shawn Wallwork Jun 24, 2013 2:00 PM (in response to Chad Kovac)OK Chad, then I'll make it worth not ignoring (see rewrite). And if you'll bump this once or twice a day, we'll have created a manual sticky note!

Dustin Smith Jun 24, 2013 2:17 PM (in response to Shawn Wallwork)1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi Shawn & Chad,
Thanks for the conversation here. Using the "Ask a Question" bar on the main page of the Community is fine as long as you leave the default selection of "Forums" in place. The ability to select anything other than forums was a feature we rolled out as part of the recent upgrades and are realizing (thanks to some conversations with Shawn & Johan) that this is confusing for newer users and results in questions being submitted in places with little or no visibility. Tracy and I are trying to figure out a way to gracefully limit this.
Thanks,
Dustin

5. Re: !!!!!! DO NOT EVER POST A QUESTION HERE IN COMMUNITY !!!!!
Shawn Wallwork Jun 24, 2013 2:31 PM (in response to Dustin Smith)If that's the case then you'd better re-word or eliminate that last option that says: "Make your content visible to everyone..." Because that's what's causing folks to do the exact opposite of making their content visible to everyone.

Yup, that one's on the to-do list--not something we're easily able to do. It is definitely confusing!

Shawn Wallwork Jun 24, 2013 2:35 PM (in response to Dustin Smith)Change the wording and I'll take down this post (or let it just fade away... in just 2 days).

Shawn Wallwork Jun 24, 2013 4:09 PM (in response to Shawn Wallwork)Man they sink down the list FAST! So I'm bumping, but I'm also better understanding the need/use of sticky notes.
