# Arrive at values as shown in column Add and Percentage Change

Hi All,

I have the following data. I have values for date, A and B.

How do I find the value for Add and percentage Change?

 Date A B Add Percentage Change 5/2/2013 108.53 112.71 221.25 3.85% 5/3/2013 108.47 106.15 214.62 -2.14% 5/4/2013 99.51 106.63 206.14 7.16% 5/5/2013 101.03 110.11 211.14 8.99% 5/6/2013 114.01 117.52 231.52 3.08%

Also A and B columns are dimensions

Thanks

Gallop,

You just need to make some calculated fields...

% change = (sum([B]) - sum([A])) / sum([A])

See attached workbook for a working example

Hi Robin,

A and B headers are from the same column in a table . A and B are dimensions in 2 separate dropdowns. So the values A and B can change to C, D, E based on user selection. The measure value is what is to be displayed on the columns.

Thanks

OK I think I follow you... A and B are not separate measures... you have 1 measure and A and B are members of a dimension?

One way to achieve what you need is to use a grand total for the 'both' column, and a second sheet for the % difference column and then combine them in a dashboard...

Hi Robin,

I am not getting the summation on doing grand totals since I see that the measure is being shown as AGG and is a calculated field as compared to your Value.

Thanks
