You could take shapefile of countries and delete the United Kingdom's polygon, then take shapefile consisting polygons of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland and put them into place of the UK. You could play with it in QGIS...
It is just an idea, I am not sure in 100% , maybe there are better solutions.
there is something easy, you can make map of the world on country level and then place on the map "floating" map showing details of the UK (just mark 'floating' on the detailed map). Two in one
I am having the same issue. I'm trying to build some stuff for the World Cup, and I can't separate out Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
I'm also having no luck finding a way to show West Germany and East Germany as separate entities, the polygon option is a way to go, but I feel like it's pretty limiting. Is there any way for Tableau to look at an item as a county and write a statement that looks for the "state" when it sees certain names?
Same here for the Rugby World Cup.
