The connection to the data source might have been lost error

When refreshing workbooks on the server, we see a lot of refresh fail with below error message:

com.tableausoftware.vizql.dll.DataSourceException: The connection to the data source might have been lost.

Communication with the Tableau Protocol Server process was lost.

We are using Tableau 7.0.14. The issue will appear when we run about 80 workbooks in the queue. We have 8 background processes. We are using Postgres 9.2 as the data source.

The symptom is that sometimes all fail with the same error message. Sometimes, only a few fail but all with this error message too.

Is there a setting, let's say, to extend the timeout between the Postgres and Tableau Protocol Server(not exactly sure what it's used for)? Anything that might be help to avoid this issue. The workbooks could be somewhat big which could take a few hours to finish the refresh when running it alone.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks,
