    Why does Tableau frequently loose its connection to Postgress?

      It happens rather often, almost very time I'm adding a column or a filter, Tableau shows me this error:

      Database error 0x80004005: Could not send Query(connection dead);
      Could not send Query(connection dead)

      Sometimes I can get away with it not happening, but still, this is rather annoying. Every-time this error comes up, I have to click okay and try it again. Most of the times, doing it again works, but every so often, I get the error again.

      When connecting to a new table, using a custom SQL, I get this error:

      Database error 0x80004005: FATAL: the database system is in recovery mode
      Unable to connect to the server "********". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

      But, the database is fine. I double check the status using PpAdmin and it looks fine. I get around it by clicking okay again and again until it works. It usually will eventually work.

      What's going on? Is there a settings issue with Postgress? Or does this have something to do with the driver?
