I'll suggest you to open a case and/or drop an email to email@example.com
The desktop's logs are located here.
C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Tableau Repository\Logs
Replace user with your user name

I am also facing the same problem. Is there a solution to connect large SFDC tables like Accounts , Contatcs etc.
is there a way we can filter using date criteria.
