Thai, would you post a screenshot of the whole Tableau viz, including all the shelves, marks cards and data window. It'll help us better understand what's going on. It looks like Tableau is doing exactly what you're telling it to do, meaning that's the way hierarchies work in Tableau, but I can't tell for certain until I see the whole thing.
Here are the five pix hopefully tell my story
Pix1. Shows the hierarchies
Pix2. I unchecked Final Assembly
Pix3. Click on one of the mark - "RW576" and it does not show Final Assembly shops. But this is in worksheet but does not work the same way in dashboard.
Pix4. The RW576 is highlighted but Final Assembly shops are now also appeared and so is the checkbox for Final Assembly.
I also attached the dashboard action.
Thanks Thai, I think I understand. Try this: open the Action Filter and check Dispo-Req'd in the Target Sheets. Does this give you what you want?
appreciate your help Shawn.
As for my problem... it still checkbox the previously unchecked Final Assembly when I clicked on a mark even after I made the recommended change.
