I am having the same error. I did a few things to the server that corrected the issue. It still occurs frequently so the problem is not solved on my end. I think I figured out a work around but I am not sure which one of these steps directly corrected the problem.
1. Restarted Tableau server
2. Checked the users permissions (Only kept myself as the editor, I made everyone else interactor)
3. Deleted the older version of the workbook from tableau server
4. Re-posted to server.
Like I said, I am not sure which one of these steps corrected the issue but it worked for me.I hope this was helpful. If the problem is not corrected using this step your best bet is to send a support ticket to email@example.com.
I have to get someone to reset Tableau Server when this happens and it occurs every few weeks. It is extremely obnoxious!
Is there anything new on this issue. We just moved to version 8 on the server yesterday and started getting this same error today. Do you know if it has been reported to Tableau support? Thanks
This bug is driving us crazy here as well. It is occuring very often and restarting the server can't be an acceptable solution.
We've contacted Support and hope to hear from them.
Tableau: if you read this please look at it carefully as it looks like a critical bug to me.
I, too, am tired of having to ask my IT team to restart server for errors that Support cannot provide a legitimate reason for. Better documentation of reasons for errors, as well as documented resolutions, are greatly needed.
