Thanks for your answer, Alex. Perhaps I should explain with an example what I'm trying to do. My data looks something like this:
Cell Year Status Revenue A 2013 Active 50 A 2013 Active 90 B 2013 Closed 100 B 2013 Closed 100 C 2013 Active 100 C 2013 Active 150 A 2012 Active 200 A 2012 Active 250
I only have Year and Status on the row shelf, as those are the only 2 variables I want to group by. However, the underlying data shows that is is aggregating by year, status, AND cell. I want to get rid of cell in the aggregating.
Try putting Cell on the level of detail
Putting cell on the level of detail only adds cell to the aggregation. I want to remove cell completely from the equation.
Currently, what it's giving me looks like this:
Cell Year Status
A 2013 Active 90 B 2013 Closed 100 C 2013 Active 150 A 2012 Active 250
It's grouping by cell, year, and status, taking the max of the revenue.
I want it to group by Year and Status ONLY and take the SUM of the revenue, like this:
Year Status Revenue
2013 Active 390
2013 Closed 200
2012 Active 450
Can you share a screenshot of what is going wrong?
I figured out my problem. It was user error. Thanks for your willingness to help!
