Is word having to squeeze the dashboard down (the max width for pasting to word should be about 650)?
If you are pasting it as a screenshot, you would be better pasting it as an image (by image I mean not an EMF) as quality isn't going to be as much of an issue.
EDIT: and to Shawn's point - Snagit is great
In my experience screen shots work best. SnagIt is very good screen capture utility.
I would like to suggest you to export your view to pdf format where nothing changes everything shown in the dashboard would be reflected.
If you open the .emf file directly (from Windows explorer or whatever), does it look to have rendered correctly? We've been having a terrible time with PDF's remaining true to dashboards. After reading this thread, I decided to try the same experiment we did for PDFs with an EMF. I got the same result - fonts are very screwy. Bolds don't appear bold and to get bold you have to select italic variants.
The leftmost column represent individual worksheets and the font for "32,176" should be the same style as the text above it. Over to the right are variants of the font added to a dashboard as a text element. Also, there is almost no padding between the box and the data where in the dashboard version, there's a normal amount of space between the '6' and the line next to it. In others, it actually is even further to the right and gets cut off.
We've pretty much had to stop working in 8 because of the display/font issues we're having right now unfortunately.
Dashboard 1.emf.zip 17.4 KB
Rendering issues were present in the beta versions as well. I would suggest a support@ email to get it high on the agenda to be fixed/
