now the variables should be ok, but at the very end of the process
(during sorting) even if disk space was available, I got the following error:
Tableau Data Engine Error: 4: PackageDatabase: failed, src="D:\<filename>.tde", dst="D:\<filename>.tde.pkg", errno=112, error="There is not enough space on the disk.", exception="There is not enough space on the disk.

Hmm, no not really.
Are you sure you actually have enough space on D:? During the sort process, we can take up quite a bit of temp space on the disk. For example, I have a 1 billion row extract that is about ~21 GB. I use about 95 GB of disk space for temp files while in the "sort phase". That also doesn't account for the size of the final extract - so, in my case I need to have at least 95 + 21 GB of free space.
