# How do I create a quadrant which will show me the cash cows in my business and problem child?

I have been struggling with my data in respect to building a quadrant with little help or less resources on the web. It would be great to have a solution not readily available though and would be highly interesting to learn how people build quadrants for their businesses which shows what is causing the problem and what is minting money.

Based on conditions for example how Gartner came out with the BI tool quadrant based on easy to use, flexibility, etc etc.

I have a sample data set and based on that I would like to know how many products have low percent conversion and high cost price or low cost price and low conversion, or low conversion and low cost price etc. based on two metrics in the data sheet cost price and percent1.

Thank you

Hey Josh,

This is exactly what I needed to look at and how I wanted to look at the quadrant. I like how you laid out the quadrants by colors and i can change it dynamically by cost and percent threshold.

Thanks a ton.

Hey Josh,

This is in regards to the quadrant issue you solved for me. Thanks a great deal. But I was at the Tableau conference V8 roadshow yesterday in Minneapolis and it was great. I was there when the director of customer service was a keynote speaker and he was explaining the new enhancements in V8.

Now i was wondering that he explained in brief about creating sets in V8 with simple AND, OR, NOT statements instead of using complex ELSE/IF statements. And by creating sets like those we could drag them into colors and make static or dynamic quadrants.

Could you please be so kind and explain me how could I do that with this data set. I would really like to see a static quadrant as you showed me with this exercise a dynamic one. A static quadrant with four sets broken down with AND, OR conditions. I have attached the data set again.

Thanks a great deal again.
