I'm not sure there is a way to do exactly what you asked, but here are a couple of options that come mind right away:
1. Have a 3rd dashboard that acts as a parent to the other two. It would have two views (they might look like buttons or arrows). One says "Click Here for 7 day view" and the other says "Click here for 24 hour View") Respective actions would go to the desired dashboard.
2. On a single dashboard, use a single parameter that hides/shows each sheet based on the selection. The technique is described here: http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/creating-sheet-selector-for-dashboard
Thanks a lot for the reply Joshua,
I was trying the second option of having an parameter which hides/shows the dashboard based on the selection.
I am facing an new issue while choosing the filters as the filters are applicable only to individual extracts or dashboards and doesn't get automatically modified based on the selection of the parameters which only changes the dashboards views but not filters.
I have used this knowledgebase article various times and have saved a bunch in a folder on my desktop for quick reference.
